We're looking for a Creative Strategist to support performance content strategy across paid channels. This role sits squarely on the performance content team: focused on static ads, micro-creators, and video ad concepts that drive measurable results. You'll develop briefs, pitch angles, and work closely with our creative production and media buying teams to continuously improve paid creative output.
You'll work directly with our creative leadership team to sharpen strategy, iterate on what's working, and help build a repeatable creative system for paid performance.
Who We're Looking For
We need someone who genuinely lives in performance creative: who thinks in hooks, angles, and conversion, and knows what it takes to make a static or UGC ad stop the scroll and drive a click. You should be comfortable owning the brief-to-publish process for paid content, working with creators and internal production teams, and using performance data to inform what to test next.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and develop 10-15 briefs per week for paid performance content across static, GIF, video, and other ad formats (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube)
- Source and brief micro-creators, identifying the right talent, writing clear creative direction, and managing the brief-to-delivery process
- Write scripts and copy for video ad concepts, with a strong eye for hooks, organic trends, and what makes content convert in a paid environment
- Own the end-to-end creative development process: ideation, briefing, production oversight, asset review, and performance analysis
- Work closely with video editors, graphic designers, and content producers to guide creative execution and maintain a high quality bar
- Partner with the performance and media buying teams to pull insights and use data (nCAC, CTR, CVR, Sub Rate, thumb-stop rate) to sharpen the creative strategy
- Support building and maintaining creative systems that scale: briefing templates, angle frameworks, style guides, and documented best practices for paid content
- Take significant ownership of creative initiatives and act as a key strategic partner to performance leaders in building out our performance creative vision
- Continuously research and educate yourself on AI tools and platforms within the creative performance space to identify opportunities that can enhance briefing, concepting, and creative workflows
Required Qualifications
- 2-3+ years of experience in performance creative or creative strategy roles within DTC, growth marketing, or paid media environments
- Demonstrated track record of developing high-converting static and UGC ad creative, with a clear point of view on hooks, angles, and what makes paid content perform
- Strong writing and briefing skills, you can translate a product insight into a compelling creative direction that a creator or producer can execute on
- Deep fluency in performance metrics (nCAC, CTR, CVR, scroll-stop/thumb-stop rate) and how performance analytics drive creative outcomes
- Experience briefing and managing external UGC creators through production
- Strong understanding of the paid media landscape across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube, and how creative strategy differs by platform
- Ability to manage complex creative projects independently, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly across teams
- Detail-oriented with a passion for quality, you notice when something is off and you know how to fix it
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience at DTC or CPG brands with a strong evergreen and performance content program, where paid creative was a primary growth driver and they experience working alongside an internal creative team (not solely managing external agencies)
- Familiarity with creative testing frameworks and how to build structured learning agendas
- Prior in-house brand experience is strongly preferred over a purely agency background
- Experience working alongside or reviewing content from creative producers, editors, and designers
