THE ROLE:
Client is seeking a world-class Creative Director of Content + Production to build and lead the internal media house and the engine behind how the brand shows up across content, culture, and channels.
Reporting to the Chief Creative Officer, this is a rare opportunity to build something from the ground up with real backing behind it. The strategic vision is clear, the ambition is high, and the brand has momentum. What we need now is a creative leader who can turn that vision into a working system. The ideal candidate knows how to develop formats, build repeatable content frameworks, and create storytelling that performs across social, paid, and brand channels without sacrificing taste.
This is not a traditional content role and not a film studio. You'll be responsible for architecting a modern content engine: one that balances ambition with consistency, speed, and output. You think in systems, not just ideas, building series instead of one-offs, shaping stories that meet audiences where they are, and creating work that doesn't just get seen, but builds cultural relevance and community around the brand.
You'll set the bar and hold it, directing key productions, building the team, and establishing the systems, workflows, and creative standards that define the internal studio. You'll start with one direct report and grow the team to five, with the full support of Client's leadership and resources behind you.
From early-stage concepting through execution and iteration, you'll ensure the work is creatively strong, strategically effective, and built to scale across channels. While you hold full ownership of this function, you'll work in close partnership with the Chief Creative Officer, VP of Marketing, and Director of Marketing - Brand to ensure every piece of content ladders into the broader strategic vision and drives lasting impact.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Architect internal studio from the ground up, shaping its creative mandate and editorial point of view, while building the systems, workflows, and talent network needed to bring it to life.
- Own the creative strategy and direction for all output, defining what to make, why it matters, and how it shows up across channels, informed by audience behavior, platform dynamics, and performance insights, and mapped to demo, brand pillar, purpose, and tentpole moments.
- Lead the end-to-end development and execution of content from concept through production and post, directing key projects when needed and maintaining a high standard of creative quality across all work.
- Build and lead the team, hiring, managing, and developing in-house talent (currently 1, scaling to 5) while building and overseeing a trusted network of external creative and production partners.
- Own production operations end-to-end, managing budgets, timelines, resources, logistics, contracts, and external partners with strong operational and financial discipline.
- Define the content pipeline and lead production planning, establishing timelines, workback schedules, and milestones to drive consistent, on-time delivery without compromising quality.
- Work directly with the CCO and founders to shape creative direction and cultural positioning, guiding how the work comes to life across channels in a way that is distinctive and cohesive.
- Partner closely with Marketing leadership to align content with campaign strategy, supporting effective distribution, amplification, and measurable impact.
- Champion the evolution and expansion of Float Studios, generating new ideas, formats, and partnerships that expand the studio's impact and position Client as a creative leader in the category.
